Abhinav Pahade is a Mumbai-born, New York-based photographer whose work moves between two cities and the visual languages they share.
He is drawn to what happens to a street after dark - when familiar architecture dissolves into shadow, artificial light reshapes the everyday, and the boundaries between Mumbai and New York become less certain. At night, the distance between the two cities seems to collapse: their differences blur just as their parallels come into focus.
Rather than resolving this tension, Pahade follows it. His photographs inhabit that space of ambiguity, where one city can begin to resemble the other and a street can feel both foreign and strangely familiar.
Mumbai-born and New York-based photographer Abhinav Pahade explores the shifting visual parallels between the two cities, focusing on how streets and architecture transform after dark. Through shadow and artificial light, his photographs blur distinctions between place and memory, creating images in which Mumbai and New York feel at once distant, familiar, and unexpectedly interchangeable.
